Basting and Binding

This pattern was recently posted on Cluck Cluck Sew.
The smallest piece in here is 1 inch square which is smaller than anything I've worked with before.  But the effect is so worth it.  This quilt will be going to a little girl through my Fund a Quilt project.  I still need to finish up hand-stitching the binding, then it'll be done!

I also did my first free motion sewing that I feel is a success.  Last time I tried, I didn't have a machine that would automatically put the needle up and down at a steady speed.  Now that I do'nt have to be doing the presser foot and the free-motion part, its a lot easier.  This was the post that helped inspire me to try again.

  1. I would love to stitch bindings for you. I love the idea that your charity is based upon.

    1. Thanks so much! I'm not logistically up for the task of mailing quilts around that way. But, maybe if we ever live in the same town, I'll take you up on it. :)
